Spain is the premier entry point into the European Union for businesses originating from the GCC, MENA, and Latin America. We provide the institutional access, regulatory navigation, and commercial introductions required to establish a credible, compliant presence within the EU.
Your institutional gateway to the European Union — from Madrid to Brussels.
Spain's strategic position as the bridge between Europe, Africa, and Latin America makes it the natural entry point for businesses seeking EU market access. The Madrid financial district has emerged as a significant European financial hub, with a growing ecosystem of multinational headquarters, family offices, and institutional investors. Spain's bilateral investment treaty network, double tax convention portfolio, and Golden Visa programme create a uniquely favourable environment for international business structuring. ILS Consultancy operates as an elite commercial broker in Spain — maintaining direct relationships with Spanish ministries, institutional investors, family business networks, and EU regulatory bodies. We facilitate the commercial introductions and regulatory pathways that convert ambition into executed transactions.
We manage the full Spanish company formation process — Sociedad Limitada (SL) and Sociedad Anónima (SA) incorporation, notarial deed preparation, Mercantil Registry submission, tax identification (NIF) registration, and VAT activation — consistently achieving full establishment within 15 to 25 business days.
Spain's investor visa programme provides EU residency to non-EU nationals investing a minimum of €500,000 in Spanish real estate or €1,000,000 in Spanish company shares or bank deposits. ILS advises on qualifying investment structures, manages the visa application process, and coordinates with property and banking advisers to ensure a seamless end-to-end experience.
Establishing in Spain provides immediate access to the EU Single Market — 450 million consumers, a harmonised regulatory framework, and a common customs area. Opening corporate accounts in Spain requires careful navigation of AML/KYC requirements, particularly for entities with GCC or MENA shareholders. Spain frequently serves as the EU holding platform for businesses with GCC operational bases — linking Dubai and Riyadh operations through Madrid-domiciled holding structures that optimise treaty access, dividend flows, and EU regulatory positioning. ILS designs these cross-corridor architectures across all three ILS corridor desks simultaneously.
ILS operates as a recognised commercial intermediary with active relationships across Spanish government, financial institutions, and the private sector — providing clients with introductions that go beyond standard advisory to direct commercial opportunity facilitation.
The cross-border corridor between the Gulf and Spain is one of the most active investment and trade routes in the Southern Mediterranean. Spain's position inside the EU means that establishing in Madrid provides access to the full European regulatory framework — from ESMA financial regulation to GDPR, CE marking, and EU procurement. Full EU entry structuring for a UAE family office seeking European residency and a Madrid-based holding platform for GCC-EU investment activity.
The Challenge
A Dubai-based family office with AED 800M in assets under management required EU residency for three principals, a Madrid-domiciled holding structure for European investment activity, and Spanish banking access — all within a 60-day window prior to a European private equity co-investment.
Our Approach
ILS structured a Spanish SL holding entity with appropriate capitalisation for Golden Visa qualification, coordinated a qualifying real estate acquisition of €1.4M in Madrid, and simultaneously initiated Golden Visa applications for all three principals. Spanish corporate banking was arranged with a Tier 1 institution using a structured KYC package aligned to the entity's DIFC parent.
The Outcome
Golden Visa approvals were issued for all three principals within 47 days. Spanish banking was activated on day 31. The Madrid holding entity participated in its first EU private equity co-investment within 55 days of incorporation, deploying €12M in equity.
